When you feel like you're stuck in life, such as when you're suffering from May blues, try stopping for a moment, looking up at the sky from a "helicopter (drone) view," and reexamining yourself from God's perspective. By doing so, you will be able to see your surroundings and the direction you need to go in with a broader perspective, and at the same time, you will be able to feel the gentle gaze of God watching over you.
"God looks upon a man's ways; he observes his every step." Job 34:21
May is a very beautiful month with fresh greenery. However, May is also the time when people fall ill with what is known as "May Sickness." By the way, artificial intelligence, or AI, explains May Sickness as follows: "May Sickness is a colloquial term for a state of physical and mental discomfort that occurs with the start of a new school year or changes in the environment. It is not an official disease name, but is so named because people generally experience symptoms such as depressed mood, lack of motivation, and fatigue around the end of Golden Week."
In a sense, perhaps the change in environment causes people to lose sight of themselves, or the end of the holidays makes them anxious, or they lose sight of their purpose in life.
In times like these, I think the first thing we need to do is look up firmly at God, who created us with a purpose and watches over us with love. ... Proverbs 3:6 says, "Always remember the Lord when you walk in your ways, and he will make your paths straight."
Just as the character for "right" is written as "stop" for a moment, we need to stop for a moment, look up to God, and reexamine our own path from God's perspective. When we do this, we may be able to see the situation around us and the direction we should go in.
Helicopter View God's Eye View
By the way, this kind of perspective is apparently called a "helicopter view." Perhaps now it would be more appropriate to call it a "drone view." In spiritual and religious terms, it would be God's perspective, a view from heaven. In other words, it might be better to call it a "heavenly view," since it is a view from heaven.
When we feel stuck in life, such as when we are suffering from May blues, I think it's a good idea to stop for a moment, or at least stop as many times as necessary, look up to the heavens with a "heavenly view," and reexamine ourselves from God's perspective. When we do this, not only will we be able to see our surroundings and the direction we should go in with a broader perspective, but we will also be able to feel the very kind gaze of God watching over us.
May the peace of the Lord God be abundantly upon each and every one of you who have read this! Shalom!!!
